Kristin M. Nord, M.D., is a Clinical Professor of Dermatology in the Stanford School of Medicine and has served as the Stanford Dermatology Residency Program Director since 2012. Dr. Nord received her doctor of medicine from the Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, and completed her residency in Dermatology at New York Presbyterian-Columbia University Medical Center. Dr. Nord’s clinical practice is based at the VA Palo Alto Health Care System, where she serves as Co-Assistant Chief of Dermatologic Surgery. Her clinical interests are general dermatology, complex medical dermatology and procedural dermatology, and her research and community outreach focus is on skin cancer education and prevention. She is co-faculty lead for SUNSPORT (Stanford University Sun Protection Outreach Research and Teamwork), working to educate NCAA athletes, coaches and athletic trainers at Stanford about sun safe practices.
