M. Laurin Council, MD

Laurin Council, M.D. is the Associate Director of the Center for Dermatologic and Cosmetic Surgery and Associate Professor of Dermatology at Washington University in St. Louis, MO. Her areas of expertise include Mohs micrographic surgery for treatment of skin cancers, laser therapy, and cosmetic injectables. She currently serves on several committees of the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, and the American College of Mohs Surgery. She is on the Board of Directors of the Women’s Dermatologic Society and is a Trustee of the Dermatology Foundation.  She is a reviewer for several national dermatologic publications including the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology, the Journal of the American Medical Association: Dermatology, and Dermatologic Surgery, where she also serves as an Assistant Editor.  In addition, she is on the Editorial Board of Dialogues in Dermatology, an audio publication of the American Academy of Dermatology.
